As someone born and raised in Wisconsin, I'm always rooting for the home team. I'm a Brewers, Bucks, and Packers fan, with the main sport I follow being baseball. I've got a lot of love for music, art, and animation, which has led to a great interest in video games and game design. I have a huge desire to contiunally learn and understand more. I take great pride in filling my role as son, brother, and uncle to my family.
I attended Blackhawk Technical College for 2 years, earning an associate's degree in web software development. After graduation, I continued my independent studies with courses on Udemy, Youtube, countless articles, and a handful of research papers. I took a large interest in 3D graphics and game development, spending a great deal of time learning the Unity game engine. I've also worked my way through the Nand2Tetris course by MIT press, which involvces designing a primitive computer and compiler.
During and after college I worked at a screen printing and hot pressing factory, decorating clothes for many different businesses. I also worked as a peer tutor at Blackhawk Tech, helping classmates with the courses I was taking.
I've spent a number of years as a handyman/landscaper, working as an apprentice to my father. We've built decks, redone roofs, torn down and put up walls, painted houses, and spruced up flower beds.
I've done a fair amount of independent software development. I released an overlay extension for the game 'Path of Exile' to add additional UI, which became fairly popular. I also took some time to learn game development, resulting in an attempt to start a small studio to produce my very own game. While this project never reached maturity, it was a great learning experience and a rather fun one at that.
